The points are 1/4-inch longer and sharper than the aluminum model. At 23.3 ounces per pair, they’re still lightweight, and they fold down into a compact package. Like the original KTS, these crampons work with your running shoes as well as your ski, snowshoe, hiking, and telemark boots.

The Steel KTS Running/Walking Crampons are the out & out must for the lightweight UK Winter Mountain Mover. Great for Fell Running, Lightweight Travel Across the UK Mountains or further a-field. Being made from Steel rather than Alu means that the points can tollerate rock and hard ground for much longer before suffering from wearing down, and if needs be, can be re-sharpened alot easier than the Alu, which will suffer wear over rough ground much quicker.
